All artwork is Copyright © 2001 protected by the artist. ED SEEMAN studied art at the high school of Music and Art in New York and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He has been a professional artist, photographer and cartoon cel animator for the past forty years. In New York in the 60's his highly textured oil paintings consisting of tiny juxtaposed points of color were represented by "The East Hampton Galleries" on 57th Street in New York City and one of his paintings hung in the New York Museum of Modern Art's Lending Library for three years. His oil paintings from that period were purchased by the Chrysler Museum in Provincetown, The University of Massachusetts and many private collectors. Five of his experimental films are in the Library of Congress and most notably his "Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention" film won a Cine Gold Eagle at the Venice Bienalle. His film "Space Oddity" won a Silver Phoenix at the Atlanta Film Festival. As a Cartoon Cel Animator Ed began his career at Paramount Pictures animating such legendary characters as "Popeye and Casper the Ghost". In TV commercials Ed has animated many of the nation's most popular cartoon characters such as "Sugar Bear, Bullwinkle, Trix Rabbit, My Little Pony, Flintstones and many others. He has won numerous Cleo Awards, Addy's and a host of other advertising TV Commercial awards. In 1981 Ed and his partner Ray Favata won an Emmy for the animated opening of the children's show "The Great Space Coaster". Ed currently produces animated TV commercials in South Florida. While utilizing computer technology to produce his animated commercials he made the transition from oil and acrylic painting on canvas to computer art. Ed does all of the designs we offer outside of the fantasy art work. He is a fantastic artist and to top it all off one of the nicest people I have yet to meet through 'The Box'!
